What's going on at R.A.W.

Soccer may be the number one sport in most of Africa but basketball is growing fast and the Representing Athletes Worldwide (R.A.W.) has set its sights on the continent to provide future stars of European & NBA basketball. R.A.W. and its global partners have embarked on a continent-wide tour including stop-offs in Serra Leon, Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Africa. With a community outreach project for young people, is key to expanding the sport's global reach." Making the basketball accessible, increasing participation, growing interest and developing more youth leagues that's the real priority," said R.A.W. C.E.O. Ira Kreindel.

R.A.W. is looking to take the top youth players, aged 19 and under, from all over Africa and invite them to train with College & Pro coaches. "Part of making the game accessible is to develop leagues like the AAU in the U.S," Ira Kreindel said. "More players are going to come from the continent so we are going to have International Pro games here, just like in Europe," he added.
